I first saw the bike ride in 2008, during a walk down Picadilly during which I did not have a camera. This year I was prepared.
The Bike Ride started at 3.30 pm, and I had a few hours in town, eating, book-buying and film-going beforehand. This is the rail-replacement-Routemaster I got from home to London Bridge, which caught fire a few blocks before London Bridge. I think this one has mainly been doing weddings since its retirement from public service (there was ribbon tied all the way down the bannister of the stairs), so it's just as well this didn't happen on wedding-duty.
