This was my second time in Buenos Aires as an adult. I was born in the Falkland Islands in 1963. For the first 7 or so years, relations with Argentina were sufficiently tense that travel between the islands and the UK involved a week-long boat trip to Montevideo and then a flight to London. However, the situation then thawed and regular flights became available between the islands and Buenos Aires (via Commodoro Rivadavia in Patagonia). I think I must have visited BA at least six times as a child, and it was always a treat.
